Light Enough to Fly · The Passage
The Passage
You put it on to survive. You don't have to keep wearing it. Six months of private mentorship with Mark Worster for people used to achieving, leading, and carrying the responsibility, who want more room to choose how they live.
A six-month private engagement, with guided practice between sessions.
The pattern
You know how to carry it.
You built the company, earned the position, or became the person everyone relies on. You learned to anticipate problems, meet expectations, and keep moving.
Those abilities still matter. But the responsibility follows you home. You delegate a decision and keep checking on it anyway. Someone offers to help, and you find yourself explaining why it's easier to do it yourself.
A success lands, brings a flash of satisfaction, and your attention is already on what needs doing next.
Many of the founders and high achievers Mark works with eventually ask the same question: how much of this am I choosing, and how much feels compulsory?
You may recognize that question through your work, your relationships, or the role you have always played in your family. You do not need to own a business to begin exploring it.
The idea behind the work
Some ways of coping become ways of living.
At different points in life, you learn what seems to keep you safe, valued, or connected: be useful, get it right, stay in control, ask for little.
A rule that once helped becomes hard to set down, even once the circumstances that required it are gone.
Mark uses the word vow for these commitments: the often unspoken rules about who you believe you must be to stay safe. On this site they also go by the Ghost Drive, the survival code quietly running underneath the achievement.
The Passage gives you a structured place to find that code, examine it, and practice responding with something you actually chose.
How the passage works
Three movements across six months
The Passage runs as a six-month engagement: private virtual sessions with Mark, bracketed by two in-person deep journeys, one opening the passage and one closing it, with daily practice carrying the work in between. Mark calls the method itself the Uninstall. You bring what's active in your life right now: a decision you can't leave alone, a boundary you keep moving, a conversation you avoid, or the pressure to stay useful even when you're exhausted. Together you trace the pattern underneath it and build the practice that changes your response.
I
Illumination
You cannot delete code you cannot find.
Weeks 1–6
The passage opens with the first of your two in-person deep journeys: deep history mapping, an extended breathwork journey, and the start of tracing the exact moment your survival code was written. Weekly private virtual sessions continue from there (the Excavation, the Mismatch) until the vow itself can be named in its own words, not just its symptoms.
What you leave this movement with: the exact wording of your vow cluster, the sentences that have been running your life below the level of thought. Most people carry more than one. Each gets its own work in the sessions that follow.
II
Extrication
Now that we can see it, we can delete it.
The 90-day daily window
This is where the actual removal happens: the physical cup, the mental cup, the spiritual cup, three interconnected protocols, worked through daily breathwork practice, declaration, writing, and repetition over ninety days, about sixty minutes total each morning, held daily through Persephone, the AI practice guide I built to carry the work between sessions. This daily practice happens on your own, guided rather than in-person; the working sessions with Mark stay virtual through this whole window.
Around day thirty, the old program fights back: what we call the extinction burst. A twenty-minute virtual pulse call is already on the calendar for exactly this window, not a session, a checkpoint. Around day fifty-five to sixty-five, The Long March, a held virtual checkpoint, not a closing. Nothing ends here. You take stock of what's held, what's resisted, and what's still live, and the vessel keeps emptying.
What you leave this movement with: an emptied vessel. The old operating system disavowed, burned, and forgiven. You will feel the difference physically.
III
Elevation
The cup is empty. Now we fill it.
The final phase
The Rite of Completion arrives not on a calendar date but once the ninety-day daily practice is complete, this is the flex in "six months, flexible." A four-part virtual rite: Return Testimony, Opening of the Letter, Settled Operating Statement, the Crossing. What follows is the real work of this movement: building the daily stack, the specific practices and small rituals that keep the elevated state from being a single peak experience and turn it into how you actually live.
Around month six, the second of your two in-person deep journeys: the Closing Rite, an integration harvest and a four-part closing: Testimony of Emergence, Naming of What Was Built, Release of the Guide, the Blessing. For some clients this closing draws on deeper traditional practices Mark carries from his own training, offered only when it fits the person and the moment, never as a standard step. What comes after is an invitation, offered in Mark's own voice, not an automated upsell.
What change can look like
More fully yourself than you have ever been
At the end of the passage, you will not be a different person. You will be the self that existed before the vow was written. You will be able to tell your story with feeling but without being hijacked by it. The pattern that brought you here will no longer be invisible; it will be named, disavowed, and replaced by something you chose.
You may still have hard days. The old neural pathways do not disappear instantly; they simply stop being the highway. The new pathway becomes the default. Over time, especially with the daily practices, the old road grows over with weeds.
Your life does not have to be wrong for this to be worth doing. It only has to be run, in places, by something you did not choose. What you leave with is more room to decide, for yourself, what you carry and why.
This is not a program for people who want to feel calmer inside an unchanged life. It is for people who sense that calm is only the beginning: that underneath the exhaustion is a larger life waiting, and they are done postponing it.
The engagement
A six-month passage, flexible
- Private working sessions, conducted virtually, weekly at first and spacing out as the work progresses
- Two in-person deep journeys built around extended breathwork, one opening the passage and one closing it
- Persephone, the AI practice guide, holding the daily practice between sessions
- Direct async voice access to Mark (Signal/Voxer), with a stated response window
- A one-time spouse or partner briefing session
- Availability limited to a small number of concurrent clients, to protect depth over volume
Who this is for
Founders first, and not only founders
Mark's work is especially relevant to entrepreneurs, executives, and high achievers accustomed to carrying significant responsibility. It also welcomes people whose experience of pressure comes through professional practice, creative work, relationships, or family life.
What matters is whether you recognize the pattern, and are willing to make time for sustained practice.
During the ninety-day daily practice window at the center of the passage, expect to spend about sixty minutes with the work each morning.
Your first conversation with Mark is where you find out whether this fits: what you're carrying, what the commitment actually costs, and whether The Passage is the right shape for it.
Support between sessions
Persephone holds the daily practice
Persephone is the AI practice guide that supports your daily practice between private sessions. Your sessions with Mark remain the human center of the engagement.
Before you begin, you'll receive a plain explanation of how Persephone works, what information it uses, and how to reach Mark directly if you need him.
The investment
One price, no upsell inside the container
$15,000 for the full six-month passage, paid in full or across installments. One price covers Illumination, Extrication, and Elevation in their entirety, nothing to upsell once you're in the container.
